Choose plain numbers, "Page X", or "Page X of Y". Note that if
you use a custom starting number, "Y" reflects the last number
reached under that numbering scheme, not necessarily your
document's total page count — for example, a 10-page document
starting at 5 will show "Page 5 of 14".
The preview shows the number's actual position against your
document's first page, and will flag it if that spot already
has visible content there. If your PDF already has its own
page numbers or footer text in that area, the new number will
be drawn on top of it, so it's worth checking the preview or
trying a different position first.
